China's energy storage network: according to a recent report from the economic times, the total number of solar installations in India has reached 16.2 gigawatts in the year to September.
India's solar market was growing rapidly in the previous four quarters, with 7.5 gigawatts of new capacity, up 84 per cent on the year, the data showed.
From the region, in the new capacity, the southern region overall grew 57%, ranking first.
Among them, gana has overtaken rajasthan, andhra pradesh and Tamil nadu, to become the largest solar installations in India.
Meanwhile, 62 per cent of the project reserves are concentrated in Tamil nadu, andhra pradesh and karnataka.
"Solar power has become India's most economical source of energy, with the price of the Internet at 2.44 rupees per kilowatt hour, or about $0.03 per kilowatt hour," said Vinay Rustagi, an Indian solar industry insider.
But he is skeptical that the Indian solar market will continue to grow.
He predicts that India's public utility scale solar power growth will fall to about 5 gw/year, will lead to many investors switched their attention to the secondary market, which in many large acquisitions.
